- Descent Clothing
According to the rules of UAE, you can’t expose your body parts indecently and should dress sensibly. The short skirt you wear should be of appropriate length and not too short. No transparent clothes should be dressed or the clothes you wear should not have offensive pictures, slogans on it. Topless sunbathing is strictly prohibited. In Dubai, swimsuits are common and allowed on the beaches but they should not be too revealing.
- Alcohol and Drugs
Drinking alcohol at public places or driving drunk won’t be tolerated and will result in fine, or prison sentence followed by the deportation. Similarly, there is a strict ban on smoking and drugs. If you are found guilty you would be charged with extremely harsh penalties.
You can’t take photographs of the local people without their permission. Avoid taking pictures of others especially if they are wearing the national dress code. You can’t take the pictures of everything you find unique and uncommon than your country.
- Public affection or sex
Smooching, kissing or any sexual act publicly especially if you are unmarried can send you behind the bars or even deport you. So, beware of showing affection to the opposite sex at public places.
- Religious values
The United Arab Emirates follows Islamic laws and regulations. Islam is the official region and any misbehavior against the religious values are not tolerated. Like you can use a newspaper for wrapping or any other purpose if there is the name of the prophet written in it. Or if there is a call for prayer don not disrupt its sound by any of the activities.
